DOUG’S TAKE
———–
– We love the Jeep Wrangler here on Cars & Bids, and this particular JK has a lot of great things going for it. It’s an Unlimited model with four doors, meaning added practicality over a standard Wrangler – and it boasts some neat modifications including 18-inch XD Rockstar wheels with 35-inch tires, an AEV suspension lift kit, and AEV front and rear bumpers. It’s also finished in eye-catching Flame Red, and the removable Sunrider soft top adds even more versatility. This looks like a cool JK Wrangler, and I’m happy to see it here on Cars & Bids.
HIGHLIGHTS
———-
– THIS… is a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara 4×4, finished in Flame Red with a black interior.
– The attached Carfax history report lists no mileage discrepancies in this Jeep’s past.
– According to the build sheet provided in the gallery, notable factory equipment includes fuel tank and transfer case skid plates, a black Sunrider soft top, cloth upholstery, power windows and door locks, air conditioning, cruise control, and an Alpine sound system with subwoofer.
– Notable modifications reported by the selling dealer include a Borla exhaust, 18-inch XD Rockstar wheels with 35-inch tires, an American Expedition Vehicles suspension lift kit, American Expedition Vehicles front and rear bumpers, a Warn front winch, a Kenwood head unit, a JL Audio subwoofer with enclosure, and a backup camera.
– Called JK internally, the third-generation Wrangler arrived for 2007 with a wider track, V6 power (instead of its predecessor’s straight-6), and an updated interior designed to provide more on-road comfort. It was also the first Wrangler offered with four doors from the factory. The Wrangler Sahara was the most comfort-oriented trim, though it of course retained serious off-road capability. Production ended in 2018.
– Power comes from a 3.6-liter V6, rated at 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear or all four wheels via a 5-speed automatic transmission.
